Background: A pharmaceutical scientist turned entrepreneur with 3 decades of experience on product development for new drugs (NCEs), manufacturing of patient-friendly products, and teaching formulations/drug delivery systems. Built and successfully operated 3 pharma companies in US since 2003, and supported over 150 pharma/biotech companies with their preclinical/clinical formulations (over 1000 projects). Published several research and review articles, book chapters, and scientific abstracts.

While rapid technological advances and digital transformations are significantly improving pharma industry, it still needs to go for a long way.
US-FDA lists over 7000 diseases that do not have treatments today. In fact, this number is likely to increase because of life-style changes/challenges. Therefore, the role played by drug discovery companies is very crucial for saving the humanity from deadly diseases.
In spite of very high cost ($2-3 Billions per drug), long time (5-7 years), and very low clinical success rate (2-3%), they continue to invest in drug discovery. For us at ReechPharma, drug discovery is not a business but an essential human service.
